The Band of America's Few is a 501(c)(3) non-profit veteran organization.
Members of the Band of America’s Few join together in camaraderie and fellowship to preserve and promote the cultural heritage of the United States Marine Corps and military music. The mission of the Band of America's Few is to engender American patriotism through musical performances at concerts, parades, ceremonies and military funeral honors, and rendering acts of community service indicative of the dignity, pride and esprit of the United States Marine Corps.
The organization boasts membership of men and women, active duty and reserve, retired and honorably discharged, officer and enlisted who have earned the title United States Marine and equally important, Marine Corps musicians. Although no longer carrying a rifle in one hand and a musical instrument in the other, the vast majority of its members have transitioned back to civilian life and pursued careers in education, law, business, healthcare, first responders and government. What makes the Band of America’s Few unique is that it does not have a “home” and no regular rehearsal location. Members travel to a location and after a day or two of rehearsal, perform their music. The organization truly epitomizes the ethos Marine Music for a Lifetime.
The members of Band of America's Few bring unique talents and backgrounds to the table. Our members range in age from 24 to 75. Some served during the Vietnam conflict, while others have recently seen action in Iraq and Afghanistan. Some served for a couple years, while others spent their entire career as Marine musicians. Together, they create a dynamic sound that blends various genres, making every performance an experience to remember.
